Vision
Our Academic Educative Discussions provide a space for inclusivity, openness, and critical thought. We invite African scholars and thinkers to come together and share their knowledge and ideas. We believe in the power of open dialogue and the exchange of diverse perspectives to cultivate our understanding of the world.
About Us
Impressions from Africa is an academic website exploring decolonial theory and practice. Formed in 2023 by University of Cape Town Postgraduate students in the Decolonial Theory and Practice Course at the Centre for African Studies, our mission is to discuss the complexities of the African sociopolitical and economic experiences and realities in ways that are both provocative and insightful.
Our aim is to provide a platform for academic discourse, where the African experience is framed in a truthful, yet accessible way. We invite you to join us in this journey of exploration and discovery.
